Statsraad Lehmkuhl was purchased for Bergen in 1923, and the school ship would provide a much-welcomed educational opportunity for youth aiming for a career at sea.

Today, "Statsraad Lehmkuhl" is considered a heritage vessel and operates almost year-round. The navigation house from "Statsraaden" has been on display with us since 1999, and in front of the deckhouse, we have reconstructed part of the ship's deck, including the lower part of the mizzenmast with boom, sails, and shrouds. Guests can enter the deckhouse and closely examine the radio room, the chart room, and the pilot's cabin. We also provide information about the school ship cause in Norway.
